I am trying to see if anyone can validate some info for me. I am a descendant of a William Fish (1690) from Bertie NC. On ancestry.com there are a lot of people listing John Pace from Bertie NC and Elizabeth Lowe as his parents. This would be really exciting, so I can see why they want to make this connection, but I can't figure out why his name would be Fish rather than Pace. I can't find any more info to validate this claim, so I thought I would see if anyone here can give me any info. William Fish married someone named Mary and have a daughter named Anne Fish, married to John Ferrell, then granddaughter named Anne Ferrell.

Any info appreciated!

   Anna, I'm not sure how many folks monitor these forums, they have mostly been used to post data int he past, but not a lot of activity since then.

  Have you cross-posted this request to the Rootsweb Pace list?
